Product update: Synergist v14 July 2025

You've seen our lovely new interface (and hopefully fallen a little in love with it). But remember when we said "Brighter. Smarter. Smoother."? Well, we meant it.

We promised regular updates to make your experience smarter and smoother.

Synergist v14 is packed with the features you've been asking for, the integrations you've been waiting for, and the intelligence you didn't know you needed. The kind that make you wonder how you managed without them (until you quickly forget you ever did).

This is an exciting move forward, but it doesn't end here. We're committing to regular product updates every four months. This gives us time to listen to your feedback and make meaningful developments.

 

What's new in v14?

  • AI expense creation from receipt images

Upload a receipt, and watch as AI extracts the amount, date, and vendor details automatically. Because frankly, there are better ways to spend your time than manually typing expense details from lunch receipts.

  • Google Calendar integration

Your diary shouldn't live in isolation. Now your Synergist schedule talks directly to Google Calendar, keeping everything synchronised without you having to remember which system has what.

Book a client meeting in Google Calendar? It appears in Synergist. Schedule a job in Synergist? Your Google calendar knows about it.

  • Departmental revenue analysis

Previously, if you wanted to see revenue by department, you had to create separate phases for each department. This new feature handles departmental revenue tracking automatically, freeing up phases for what they're meant for (project stages, deliverables, milestones).

  • Optional phases

Perfect for when you want to give clients a pick list. Mark phases as 'Standard', 'Option' or 'Picked'. Optional phases are excluded from your totals until you mark them as 'picked', providing flexibility to present options without disrupting your budgets.

  • My calendar views

List person or diary person? Now you can choose. View My calendar as a clean list or a diary format. Because everyone organises their brain differently, and your software should respect that.

  • Multi-phase Gantt charts

Want to see where all your 'concepts' phases overlap? Or when your planning phases might clash? Now, you can view multiple phases across multiple jobs in a single Gantt chart. One view shows you exactly where the bottlenecks are hiding.
