Marketers reveal their biggest current challenges
A new survey shows what marketers are most concerned about currently, thus giving insights to marketing agencies hoping to help provide services to fill the gaps.
Although these are European figures, more than half of the respondents were from the UK.
Note that the survey was carried out by a marketing technology company, who obviously want marketers to use their technology in-house. However the results can be readily interpreted as showing opportunities for digital, marketing and communications agencies.
So, what is the biggest challenge to marketers today?
- By a large margin – 43% – it’s all about getting the channel marketing mix right in order to deliver the best results. This is hardly surprising, given the complexity and proliferation of channels today. However seeing proof that marketers acknowledge their difficulties so clearly is obviously encouraging to agencies wanting to deliver strategy, insight and solutions to help.
- Difficulties quantifying the marketing impact comes second.
- The challenges of finding competent in-house staff also features highly, again emphasising their need for external help.
